HOW TO FIND US G W FORD & SON LTD AT BAKEWELL ANTIQUES & WORKS of ART, 1-4 KING ST, BAKEWELL, DERBYSHIRE, DE45 1DZ TEL 01629 812496 Bakewell, which is located in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District, can be approached from the M1 either via Junction 29 via Chesterfield, or Junction 28 via Alfreton & Matlock. It is also within easy reach of Ashbourne over the White Peak. The nearest airport is East Midlands airport which is itself close to the M1. Parking is available either in the town's short or long stay car parks which are in easy walking distance of the town and our premises on King St., in the shop Bakewell Antiques & Works of Art. We recommend going to the Long Stay Car Park on Smith's Island on the far side of the river (Sheffield direction out of Bakewell-over the bridge and turn right-follow parking signs through to the farthest car park for Long Stay). There is a pedestrian bridge from here and it is an easy walk to the town shops. After you have crossed the pedestrian bridge, leave the Supermarket on your right and walk up past the Police Station. At the T-Junction at the end turn right, cross over the road at the Pelican crossing and keep going towards the roundabout in front of the Rutland Hotel. Just before the roundabout turn left on to King St and the shop is about 50yds up on the left. The road is signposted to Monyash. For people wanting to collect larger items it is possible either to draw up at the front of the shop or if you contact us first to collect from the rear of the premises. The access is through the archway next to the entrance and immediately left once through the arch.
