ABOUT US G W Ford & Son Ltd Dealers in Antiques & Works of ArtA long established (founded c1890, incorporated 1945) family firm of Antique Dealers. We are LAPADA members and uphold their Code of Practice. LAPADA is the largest association of professional art and antiques dealers in the United Kingdom. Since its inception in 1974, LAPADA's membership has grown to over 600 members, with 50 members in 16 other countries. Customers can purchase with confidence secure in the knowledge that members abide by a strict Code of Practice. We are Antique Dealers specializing in 18th,19th & Early 20thC Mahogany and Country Furniture, Sculpture, Paintings, Silver, Treen, Metal-ware, Old Sheffield Plate, Decorative and Collectors Items and Works of Art. The firm is run by Ian Thomson who is happy to discuss your requirements for furnishing or collecting either regarding individual pieces or room schemes. Although not incorporated until 1945 the firm was originally founded by George Weber Ford in 1882 and we are proud to continue his tradition for fair dealing in quality pieces.
